What's the Difference Between Fine Silver and Sterling Silver?
•My element medallion necklaces are handcrafted from fine silver. Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver. Due to it's purity, it is softer and doesn't tarnish I add a patina to each one to give it a rustic esthetic.
Sterling silver is 92.5% silver with a metal alloy such as copper at 7.5%. The copper makes it stronger and more durable. This makes it great for for chains. I use sterling silver chains imported from Italy. Italian silver is sought after for it's craftsmanship.
I source all of my raw materials for the element necklaces from Canadian companies.
