Lately, I've had the opportunity to work with some really incredible phantom quartz crystals. Waiting for warmer weather had me reaching for all the green stones.

Phantom quartz crystals are when one mineral grows within another. The two crystals shown in this blog post are known as chlorite included quartz.

Phantom crystals happen when the growth pattern of one mineral is interrupted. As such they are believed to be wonderful allies for releasing past trauma and doing shadow work.

Chlorite inclusions, such as the green phantoms shown in these two pieces, have strong ties to nature. Chlorite is believed to be one of the most healing crystals. When quartz is paired with any other mineral, it amplifies the properties.

As the world pauses to heal, I found it serendipitous that I was so drawn to working with these unique and beautiful specimens. They are symbolic of the interruptions we've all experienced in our personal growth patterns. Just like these crystals, we are being given an opportunity to adapt and integrate change.
