Creativity and Art Make A Difference
•I'm sure all of us have been asking ourselves what our purpose in life is and what value it holds while the world is on pause. What better time for deep existential thoughts, ha!
At times I've felt that the art and items I create are frivolous. I'm definitely not a nurse or grocery store clerk braving the front lines for collective good of humanity. It's easy to fall into believing that ONLY those who are in a high risk position are playing a pivotal role in saving us all.
That all or nothing approach never bodes well for me. You'd think by this point in my life I would no longer fall for it but alas I'm still a work in progress ;)
I began to contemplate how I could use my natural talents right now to make a difference (cause we all know I'm not going back to school to become a nurse in this lifetime).
Feeling helpless but still wanting to do SOMETHING led me to create the Giving Back collection. I took this opportunity to create some smaller scale crystal talismans as I've had a few requests from customers.
The Giving Back collection features 25 crystal talismans that will all be priced at $50 each with 50% of each sale going directly to the Saskatoon Food Bank.
And while I might not be out there on the front lines, I can use my art and creative resources make a small difference.
