Hello Lovely! I'm Alauna.

Introductions are always hard as I struggle with labels and how to convey myself. Us humans, women especially, are so multi-faceted and layered. Bear with me as I try my best to summarize myself ;)

I have an unquenchable thirst for learning, especially all things metaphysical. I am fascinated with ritual, the moon, astrology, crystals, the Divine Feminine, and oracle and tarot cards. I am a survivor of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), and have been on a healing journey for the past eight years.

I endured a traumatic birth experience with my first son, which resulted in an 18 month journey to gain a proper diagnosis after being misdagnosed with PPD (post-partum depression). His birth was riddled with uninformed consent, and obstetrical violence. I had a deep knowing that his birth would be life changing for me and it definitely has been. I am a firm believer that there are always glimmers of wisdom to be harvested from every challenging situation we endure. That we have the choice to become stronger from difficult circumstances, and that those circumstances do not define us.

I seemed to hit wall after wall when trying to navigate the medical system. When I was unable to get any answer other than increasing my medication from the doctors, I began using aromatherapy, crystals, affirmations, gaining awareness around positive mindset, cranialsacral therapy, homeopathy, and experimenting with feng shui in our home.

After suffering another medical misdiagnosis and debilitating regression 18 months after my son's birth, I was finally able to advocate and seek out the professionals that ultimately assisted me in reclaiming my life. I am proud to say that I am not my PTSD but that it is now just something that happened to me. I am not defined by the diagnosis and I manage without medication. Ensuring that I keep to my nervous system functioning is pivotal for my ongoing health. I do my best to maintain healthy boundaries, eat well, get out now and again, carve out time for reflection and solitude, and attend regular cranialsacral sessions.

Through my healing journey, I began exploring my femininity more deeply and sought out friendships that were supportive and authentic. I was able to have a second child and a more empowering birth experience in the comfort of my own home. I am extremely fortunate to have an extensive community of like-minded women who work to lift one another up.

Experiencing supportive and fulfilling friendships led me to taking my Red Tent Facilitator training in February 2015, and I began offering monthly women's circles in September 2015. I am continually humbled and grateful for the women who attend each month sharing their vulnerability and allowing their authenticity to shine.

I originally began working with crystals in an attempt to provide my oldest son some solace from his trauma. As a baby, he cried all the time and I tried anything and everything to bring him comfort. When I got pregnant with my second, I dove deeper and used crystals to grid my home for protection and as tools to alleviate stress and provide strength, as I navigated the medical system, yet again.

In July 2014, while on a retreat in British Columbia, crystals began speaking more loudly to me. I began searching for talisman pieces of jewelry but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. As such, I began making pieces and synchronicity unfolded. People started asking me where I got my jewelry from and I started selling to family and friends. In some ways it was a return to my roots, I used to work in the mining industry as a metallurgical and chemical technologist, before having a family.

All of the things I have touched on are aspects of me, but undeniably my soul essence is one that craves connection, perseverance, creativity, and possibility. I am working on embracing my authenticity on a deeper level and sharing more from the heart. I love having a deep sense of community among women, where each individual can express her truth and be supported in that.

I am also a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunty. I have two precious boys, an amazing husband, and a fur baby who is my steady companion.

I am a self professed course junkie and I can't even begin to keep track of the courses and workshops I have taken in the past few years. I adore self growth, honing my intuition, and contemplating all the possibilities that life holds for each of us. I am always creating, reading, or learning something. Much of what I do is intuitive and self taught. My approach is always to integrate the elements that resonate with me and leave the rest.

I often get asked what my training and education is. Below I have listed a few of the courses I am currently working through or have recently completed <3
